Ziga is a Senior Trademark Attorney at the Slovenian branch office of ZMP. Successfully passing the bar exam in 2018, he is able to represent the clients before Slovenian Administrative and District Courts. He has over 5 years of experience, representing clients before Slovenian IP Office (conducting trademark searches, applying and maintenance of rights, filing of oppositions, etc.) and enforcing their IP rights (cease-and-desist letters, infringement and non-use lawsuits, etc.).
He also lectures customs and postal officers regarding counterfeiting on customs trainings. Ziga´s wide legal spectrum of knowledge and experience is used also in all other legal related matters.
Ziga started his career working as Trademark Attorney in prominent intellectual property agency for 4 years. He was counselling clients either in connection with the prosecution of IP rights or with their active protection. He was also involved in customs related matters.
Before joining ZMP in 2021, Ziga worked as a labour law specialist in company, which is a leading turnkey solutions provider offering set of software and services for the iGaming industry. During his work this company, he was also assisting in corporate related matters, such as personal data protection, prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing and incorporating branch offices.
