Michaela is a graduate of Charles University’s Faculty of Law, where she completed her law studies and received comprehensive legal education, obtaining a Master’s degree in law.
Simultaneously, she also earned a Master’s degree from the University of Economics in Prague at the Faculty of International Relations, specializing in International and European Studies – Diplomacy, with a major focus on International Trade.
Having been selected for various grants to study abroad, including at Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany (Deutsch-Tschechischer Zukunftsfond Scholarship), the University of Economics in Vienna, Austria (Aktion OEAD Scholarship), and the University of Plymouth, UK (Erasmus Scholarship), she had the opportunity to benefit from an international education as well. In 2010, Michaela passed the Attorney at Law Bar exam and became a member of the Czech Bar Association.
Before joining ZMP, she worked for a prominent German law firm as well as the largest Czech and Slovak law firm. Michaela also gained extensive experience at the European Union Intellectual Property Office in Alicante (EUIPO) and served as an external university lecturer at Palacky University Olomouc and Masaryk University.
At ZMP, she provides comprehensive legal assistance in intellectual property matters, including trademarks, designs, copyrights, domains, trade names, and know-how, while managing and maintaining clients’ IP portfolios.
Her assistance to clients encompasses IP protection, monitoring, litigation, infringement, counterfeiting measures, IP portfolio maintenance, addressing unfair competition, and providing day-to-day advisory services.
