Graduated from Alicante University with a Law Degree and admitted to the Alicante Bar in 2001, as an Attorney at Law with Zivko Mijatovic & Partners, Dolores has extensive experience in trademark clearance searches for clients in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and technology industries.
Due to Zivko Mijatovic & Partners’ international profile she has been highly involved in managing global trademark projects not only in Spain but also in a number of Eastern European countries before and during their accession as new Members States of the European Union.
Since 2008, having qualified as both a Spanish Patent & Trademark Agent and a European Trademark & Design Attorney, Dolores assumed overall responsibilities for the firm’s EUTM and RCD practice: overseeing large-scale renewals and recordals related to EUTMs, RCDs and Spanish Trademarks, Patents and Designs. Advising on enforcement, litigation and prosecution matters in Spain as well as in the EU is part of her daily work. Namely, she is active in filing new applications for trademarks and designs and prosecution matters, such as responding to office actions (absolute grounds objections, classification issues).
Dolores also deals with conflicts through opposition and appeal proceedings before the SPTO, EUIPO, formerly OHIM, General Court and European Court of Justice. She is outstanding in her ability to bring her knowledge and skills to bear in negotiations to secure the best possible outcome for the client, whether in Spanish or in English.
