ZMP hosted an exclusive training session for its clients on September 19, 2024, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This full-day event was designed as a presentation-based workshop for customs officers from the Regional Customs Offices of Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Mostar. The session began with an introductory lecture on the broad impact of counterfeit goods and included 11 detailed presentations. Following the formal training, attendees participated in an informal lunch aimed at enhancing brand awareness.
The primary goal of the session was to strengthen the enforcement of intellectual property rights by customs authorities. This was achieved by showcasing the brand’s intellectual property portfolio, providing key insights into identifying counterfeit products, and sharing strategies for assessing risks in shipments that may contain counterfeit goods.
Our colleagues Selma Custovic and Emira Trgo Vrabac, represented ZMP at the event. Feedback from the customs officers was overwhelmingly positive, with participants rating the training as highly useful and relevant to their daily duties.
