Croatian Customs Authorities organized a training session in Split, Croatia, a two-day seminar “Identifying Counterfeits” held from September 29 to September 30, 2022.
The training was organized for customs officers under the jurisdiction of the Regional Customs Office Split and intended for officers engaged in both internal market and border procedures. The event was a presentation-type training with lectures on Trademarks and Customs procedures concerning counterfeit goods held by the Customs Officials. The aim of the training session was to improve the implementation of customs measures in the enforcement of intellectual property rights and to provide useful information on identifying counterfeit goods. Seventeen presentations on identifying counterfeits in total were held over two days by the Right-Holders, while the Customs Authorities Senior Advisors, Ms Ines Zivcic and Mr Ninoslav Babic held lectures related to Customs procedures and specifics of trademarks.
Ivana Knezevic, Head of ZMP Croatia, represented seven brands from ZMP’s Client roster, from the automobile, cosmetic, electronic and fashion industries. We are very pleased the event generated a lot of interest and are proud that our Clients take care of their brands and are interested in the fight against counterfeits!
Special thanks go to the organizers of the event, Mr Ninoslav Babic, Senior Advisor, for the first in-person event since 2019, and for welcoming us so warmly.
