The winners of this year’s WTR Industry Awards were celebrated during an exclusive champagne reception held at the Southern Exchange Ballrooms in Atlanta last week. Over 200 trademark and brand protection professionals gathered to honor the outstanding work of corporate trademark teams worldwide.
As one of the proud sponsors of this year’s event, ZMP had the privilege of presenting the EMEA Team of the Year award to PUMA. Our colleagues Djura Mijatovic and Marija Markicevic Pijevic had the honor of bestowing this prestigious award.

To arrive at the shortlist, WTR conducted in-depth research of in-house counsel worldwide by surveying the global trademark community. Hundreds of nominations make the awards unique in clearly identifying those counsel – both teams and individuals– that have excelled in their sector or region. The nomination process was followed by a two-month research process, conducted by the WTR editorial team.
The proceeds of this event will go for supporting the Swawou School for Girls in Sierra Leone. The school was set up in 2008 to offer a free, quality education to girls from the Swawou community of Kenema town, eastern Sierra Leone.
